dav2d is an open-source AV2 decoder designed for cross-platform use, emphasizing speed and accuracy. It is based on the dav1d decoder and aims to provide a high-performance solution until AV2 hardware decoders are widely available. The project is maintained by VideoLAN as part of its involvement with the Alliance for Open Media/AOM.
