Iceweasel is a web browser derived from Mozilla Firefox, maintained by the Debian project. It allows users to utilize Firefox extensions and plugins while permitting modifications not subject to Mozilla Foundation restrictions. This rebranding occurred to enable Debian's continued distribution of the software with custom alterations.
