IBM PC DOS alternatives
IBM PC DOS was an operating system developed for IBM's Personal Computer, produced between the 1980s and 2000s. Initially, it was based on MS-DOS, but after version 6.1, it evolved into a separate product. IBM chose external vendors, including Microsoft, to develop key components, which helped establish the IBM PC as an industry standard.
