Microsoft ScanDisk alternatives
ScanDisk is a utility used in MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows to check and repair file systems and bad clusters on hard drives. It was first introduced in MS-DOS version 6.2 and later included a graphical interface in Windows 95. However, it cannot check NTFS drives and was replaced by a newer version of CHKDSK in later Windows versions.
