Snickers is an open-source alternative to existing cloud encoding services. It functions as an HTTP API that encodes videos, supporting source downloads from HTTP and Amazon S3. It uses FFmpeg bindings to convert videos into H264/MP4 or VP8/WebM formats and uploads the results to Amazon S3.
